LAW & GRACE. I

Someone asked me: Is a belief in The Christ necessary and/or compulsory for each soul? I tried to answer the question with an allegory, which I am not very good at! It went like this:

'Incarnating in flesh is akin to the fate of students in a school located in a multi-storied building. Classes are spread over many floors. The law requires each student to pick an envelope which holds the key to what floor a course has to be taken.

The classes are taken in random order. The first could be on the ground floor and the next on the ninetieth floor.  At inception, the building had no elevator. The treks up and down the steps are burdensome for all concerned. The set-up is such that no student is ever able to skip classes.

The ones who fail to pick the required slips are forced by circumstances to take courses, say, in the restrooms! Students are free to check out of the school at any time. However, they must continue from where they left off and also make up for classes they failed to make the grades whenever they re-enroll.

To reduce the wear and tear on the student population, the authorities installed an elevator. There is always an attendant at all times. Use of the elevator is free but certain conditions have to be met.

The attendant happens to be a polymath professor. He is also the overall dean of the college. He preps and assists those who use the elevator. Most students scorn and scoff at the idea that an elevator attendant holds such an exalted position.

Whether a student chooses to use the staircase or elevator, pick an envelope or not, the unfortunate curative requirement is that all lessons must be learned. One is free to exercise any option but cannot avoid the lessons ultimately!'

Jesus talked about coming to fulfill the law and not the laws. It means there must be one law, which ought to govern all human activities on the earth plane.

The idea makes sense because of the order inherent in the universe, of which our galaxy is but a speck. What is the Law? Are the requirements beyond human attainment? Did The Master not say: Whatever I do, you can do also? Is it possible to master the Law in a lifetime?

The Book of Records will explain the above metaphor; it will provide answers to the questions posed and much more. We now turn the issue to the Akashic to guide us from this point.

" I came not to take away the law, but to fulfill same" (Matt: 5:17).  1541-11
Then know, this is the whole law--to love God, eschew evil, and love thy  neighbor as thy self!  1603-1
Until individuals are in their thought, purpose and intent the law--that is constructive--they are subject to same.
Hence those injunctions that have been so oft given "When you know the truth, the truth shall indeed set you free" (John 8:32). Free from what? That of self.  1538-1

May the light of the love the Christ be your guide in all activities.
