LAW AND GRACE. VI

The main reason why it is crucial to understand the concept of Law and Grace is because of the antecedents of the original misadventure of souls on the spiritual plane. We broached and explained it many times in this blog. 

Notwithstanding, it is still imperative to continue to remind ourselves, occasionally, why we ended up in flesh in order to reinforce the need to work harder, to stop further material incarnations. 

This is the only way to actualize the original intention of the Creative Forces when souls were created--for us to be their companions on the spiritual plane. As usual, the choice is personal. We defer to the Akashic for the reminder.

...When the earth became a dwelling place for matter, when gases formed into those things that man sees in nature and in activity about him, then matter began its ascent in the various forms of physical evolution...in the mind of God! The spirit chose to enter (celestial, not an earth spirit--he hadn't come into the earth yet!), chose to put on, to become a part of that which was as a command not to be done.

Then those so entering must continue through the earth until the body-mind is made perfect for the soul, or the body celestial again.  262-99

The original sin, to be discussed in a future post, stems from:

We  had shown, in earlier posts, further evidence on this issue. God The Creative Forces' main intention in creating souls was for companionship. After willing Amilius into being, the process of creation--by God and Amilius--commenced. Hence, most Holy Books use the terms We/Us, especially when talking about God and creation.

Free will was--and still remains--the birthright of all souls you and I from the moment we were willed into existence. From above record, our first act was to to become a part of that which was as a command not to be done. Lucifer led the insurrection.


The onus is now on each soul to exercise the same birthright--used to disobey the Creative Forces in the beginning--to make amends. By spiritual law, the amends have to be executed in flesh. After all we forced ourselves into materiality. 

God does not need any physical gifts or offerings. Gone are the days for such. The completion of the mission of Jesus, the Christ, terminated such misinformed practices--offering physical sacrifices to atone for shortcomings.

He said: God is a spirit and has to be worshipped in the same medium. Simply put, our thoughts, words and deeds need to conform to the God's standard requirement for the material plane. What are those standards?  

The Law!--you must love thy God with all thy heart, thy body and thy soul; and love thy neighbor as thyself. This requirement is not complicated. Nevertheless, it is not achievable in one earthly incarnation. Hence, the Master made thirty earthly incarnations!  

Adherence to The Law, or otherwise, is the spiritual standard used to judge individual thoughts, words and deeds. We brought this on ourselves. How? By, ab initio,  choosing to satisfy self. To ignore The Law, after being privy to it is a tough path to maintain.  

Put simply, now that you know, the benefit of the doubt will gradually cease to apply. The only way to make amends is to, from now, try to align your will with the Divine's. Rome was not built in a day. The Father does not expect a sudden transformation. Take it one step at a time.


The Master showed us how, when He famously, and tellingly, said: Father, let this cup pass from me. However, not my but Thine be done. For any soul to start the process of reducing the pains associated with trying to force our will on issues, endeavor to pray as the Master did in all circumstances.

LAW AND GRACE. II

In the last post, we introduced an allegory about a school. The school is each earthly incarnation. Jesus the Christ incarnated thirty times before attaining Christhood in materiality. The Creative Forces used this to set the pattern for us all.

We shall in due course discuss the facts of reincarnation from the spiritual perspective and show evidence, from The Book of Records how--The Master--Jesus the Christ spoke about it publicly, though in allegorical terms. Each soul needs to purge itself of the ego before reuniting with The One. 

To purge self of carnal desires requires many earthly appearances incarnations on earth as The Master showed us. His saying that any human is capable of replicating His works is premised on this.

Be that as it may, we forge ahead with the talk on Law and Grace. The Law is simple: Love the Lord, thy God, with all thy mind, body and soul; and love thy neighbor as thy self. On the face of it, there is no ambiguity in the requirement. 

However, with knowledge of why souls ended up in flesh, it is easy to identify reasons why adherence to the law is a herculean task for all mortals. As a reminder, humans ended up in flesh because of spiritual rebellion, led by the son of perdition--Lucifer.

We, all souls created in the beginning, went against God's commandment to utilize the birthright freewill constructively in accordance with His intentions. God The Creative Forces are ever constructive but the rebels all souls acted, and we still continue to act, to aggrandize our carnal desires egos. 

Jesus in His final incarnation practicalized the application of The Law. In the process, He left us with many rules and guidelines on how to lead a spiritual life which will conform to The Father's will and purge us of the ego. 

The souls who genuinely strive to practice them, will gradually free themselves from the consequences of piled-up karmic lessons. The aftereffects of violations of The Law are based on what is termed each soul ever meets itself.

Ignorance of this spiritual principle is why we feel God seems not to care when evil things are perpetuated on earth. Know this: whatever one faces in life is, in general, meeting choices it must have made--in the spiritual or physical realms. We will delve into the explanations and paradoxes inherent in this in the future.

For now and forever, know that The Creative Forces are always constructive. Notwithstanding, The Law has to apply or as Jesus put it ... the works of God be made manifest.... Any authority expects compliance with laws.

The Law is a work of God. As such, Jesus healing the blind man, which followed the quote above, provided an opportunity for the work of God to be manifested on the material plane, which is to conform to another law. 

One who follows the path enunciated by Christ still meets self but with a difference. Adherence to the rules and guidelines serve as mitigating factors before The Throne of Power, Might, Grace and Mercy. An individual who strives to comply moves into the category of those covered under grace and mercy. 

In addition to the above, if the same individual creates a rapport with The Christ-Consciousness, then there is an extra pillar of support. Why?   

Well that each remember, it is LAW; and that only in Him - who hath fulfilled the law, replacing it with mercy, love, hope and understanding - can such be wholly comprehended or understood.  2319-1

And as He hath given, "If ye love me, keep my commandments; for they are not grievous to bear. For I will bear them with thee, I will wipe away thy tears; I will comfort the brokenhearted, I will bring all to those in the ways that are in the Wisdom of God for thy expressions through each experience, in each activity of thine." For thy soul in its Wisdom seeketh expression with Him. Smother it not in the doubts and the fears of materiality but in the spirit of love and truth that encompasseth all, and that is open to ye who have set thy hearts, thy faces, toward the love that is in Jesus, thy Friend, thy Brother.  262-105

Lack of expression of a belief in Christ-Consciousness does not necessarily preclude a soul from being covered under the umbrella of grace and mercy; as long as the individual obeys The Law. The burden is quite heavy for such souls. Eventually, it would find The Pattern. 

Equally, expression of just the belief is not an automatic qualification for coverage under grace and mercy. There are conditions to be met. Here is what the Akashic says:

...not merely by saying, "Yes, I believe Jesus was the Son of God--yes, I believe He died that I might have an advocate with the Father."

Yes, this also,--but what are you doing about it? Are ye living like that? Do ye treat thy brother, thy neighbor, thy friend, thy foe, as though this were true? For no matter what ye say, the manner in which ye treat thy fellow man is the answer to what ye really believe.  3684-1

CHRIST-CONSCIOUSNESS AND THE WORLD RELIGIONS

It is appropriate for us to consider the place of Christ-Consciousness as it relates to all the religions known to mankind from the beginning of time and forever. Put differently, does religious affiliation debar one from practicing a Christ-based spiritual life? 

In other words, should the practice of  Christ-based spiritual living be limited to membership of any religion or philosophy? Or should it be seen as the apogee of the quest--from any direction--to abide by God's Creative Forces' rules for us?

Q-What part did Jesus play in any of His reincarnations in the development of the basic teachings of Mohammedanism, Confucianism, Shintoism, Brahminism, Platonism, Judaism?

A-As has been indicated,  the entity--as an entity--influenced either directly or indirectly all those forms of philosophy  or religious thought that taught God was One..."Know, O Israel, the Lord thy God is One!' (Deuteronomy 6:4) whether this is directing one of the Confucian thought, Brahmin thought, Buddha thought, Mohammedan thought; these are as teachers or representatives...but it's God that gives the increase...

What are the  commandments? "Thou shalt have no other God before me," and "Love thy neighbor as thy self." In this is builded the whole law and gospel of every age that has said, "There is One God."  364-9

To clear up any misconception(s), let us add the Akashic's definition of the term Israel before continuing.

For those who seek are indeed Israel, and Israel indeed is all who seek; meaning not those as the children of Abraham, but of every nation, every tribe, every tongue--Israel of the Lord! That is the full meaning of Israel.  2772-1

Q-What should be understood by the statement (Genesis 49:10), "The scepter has not departed from Israel"?

A-Israel is the chosen of the Lord, and that His promise, His care, His love has not departed from  those that seek to know His way, that seek to see His face, that would draw nigh unto Him. This is the meaning, this should be the understanding to all. Those that seek are Israel. So Abraham means call; so Israel means those who seek. How obtained the supplanter the name Israel? For he wrestled with the angel, and he was face to face with the seeking to know His way.  262-28

Let there be the  study, the closer study of the promises which are made in the book, yes, the history of the Jew; yet these having failed, who is Israel?  Not the Jew, but Israel is the seeker after truth.  5377-1

We now continue with what the Book of Records has for us on the role of Christ in all religions and philosophies that have been and will ever come about on the earth plane. 

Remember, Christ Consciousness has been, from the beginning of time, on the spiritual plane. Manifestations of same on the physical plane thirty times--culminating in the attainment of it Christhood while in human body by Jesus--and the attendant establishment of a path towards God is what Christ based spiritual life is all about.

But remember, truth is truth in any language, in any clime and that which man seeks to subscribe is, namely; "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God, with all thy mind, thy body, thy soul, and thy neighbor as thy self (Luke 10:27)." The rest of philosophy, the rest of theology is only the explaining of that in individuals' lives.  5037-2 

Q-Which person, or group, today, has the nearest to the correct teachings of Jesus?

A-This would depend upon who is the judge. The teaching, the consciousness of the Christ-life is a personal thing. And hence they that are aware of His abiding presence are the nearer.

Who? They that walk with Him and do not, cannot, will not force themselves on others--even as He.  1703-36

Q-Is faith of man in Buddha or Mohammed equal in the effect on his soul to the faith in Jesus Christ?

A-Each in their respective spheres are but stepping stones to that that may awaken in the individual  the knowledge of the Son in their lives.  262-14

All religious faiths have their element of truth.  900-59   

One's religion, one's love of the fellow man, one's love of the Creator is a living thing-- and not just form only!  1564-1

The purpose, yea, the intent of religion is that peace may be to body and mind of those who embrace same.

Then the fewer definitions there be of that to which an individual is to subscribe, the the greater may be the peace and the harmony in the experience of every soul.  1467-3

In God, in the Son, in the Holy Spirit, there is no creed; for creeds are only man-made. And remember that creeds are like those things that are done as in rote. However, to some rote becomes necessary.  2420-1

The church is within yourself and not in any pope or preacher, or in any building but in self! For thy body is indeed the temple of the living God, and the Christ becomes a personal companion in mind and body; dependent upon the personality and individuality of the entity as it makes practical application of  the tenets and truths that are expressed.  5125-1

A particular church organization* is well. For it centers the mind. But don't get the idea you have the whole cheese.  3350-1

*Substitute church organization with any religion or philosophy. Response was given to a Christian seeker.

As He has given, it will ever be found that Truth--whether in this or that schism or ism or cult--is of the One source. Are there not trees of oak, of ash, of pine? There are the needs of these for meeting this or that experience.  254-87

O what crimes have been committed in the name of religion!  3344-1

Science and religion are one when their purposes are one.  5023-2

Q-Is Gnosticism the closest type of Christianity to that which is given through this source?

A-This is a parallel, and was the commonly accepted one until there began to be set rules in which there were attempts to take short cuts. And there are none in Christianity!  5749-14 

It is indeed not strange there are even in the protestant churches, Methodist, Christian, Baptist, Congregational or the what, but it is to meet the needs. What is God? All things to all men that all might know Him. Not that one is better than the other.  2072-15

Unless one is good for something, unless it is to make the experience of another appreciate the opportunity of the blessing of the spirit of truth in their activities, it must eventually come to naught. Hence not religion, not even goodness, but rather the application of not tenets but the acts and the soul of the Christ-Consciousness in the material world is to be sought.  276-6

How did thy Master work? In the church, in the synagogue, in the field, in the lakes, upon the sands and the mountains, in the temple. And did He defy those? Did He set up anything different? Did He condemn the law even of the Romans, or the Jews, or the Essenes, or the Sadducees, or  any of the cults and isms of the day? He gave, all are as One--under the law. And grudges, schisms, isms, cults, must become as naught; that thy Guide, the Way, thy Master, yea, even Christ--as manifested in Jesus of Nazareth--may be made known to thy fellow man.  254-92

We have just read what the Book of Remembrance spells out as the essence of a spiritual life. Having come this far, remain steadfast in prayer: Let Him guide you daily and every moment to maintain the arduous task of manifesting His love in thoughts, words and deeds. 

May the light of the love the Christ be your guide in all activities.

PRINCIPLES OF CHRIST-BASED SPIRITUAL LIVING. III

We purposely left unasked an important question till this moment. Why are you interested in leading a spiritual life? Many esoteric and religious organizations advertise their presence with catchy headlines. One of such by the former is thoughts are things which you can harness--and, may we add, for what purposes? 

This site has never been promoted. When the student is ready the Master will appear is one principle that is, probably, least understood but has never failed. The truth requires no champion for it is the Champion of champions! No man can ever stop the Sun from shining on the earth.

Many a student on the path, as neophytes and initiates of mystical schools are designated, are drawn initially by the dream of controlling their destiny! In other words, they ignorantly and erroneously associate material comfort and imposition of self-will on the material plane with oneness with the Divine and co-creating with God. 

They are wont to project and visualize the best for themselves and loved ones. These are continuation of the practices that landed us in matter in the first instance. The book of Remembrance counsels against projecting and visualizing. This will form the basis of a future discussion.

But Christ's actions run contrary to such human tendencies.  By the way, anyone who strives to follow a Christ-Based way of life is a student on the path too. So, you are a student on the path also! 

Jesus laid the groundwork for anyone who wants to be an independent student on the path. He showed, through His actions and teachings--mainly through stories--how you can become an initiate with Him as The Master of your lodge! 

Today, we highlight some common denominators in virtually all His earthly activities. He was not a stickler for the letter of  the law and never used His unlimited psychic powers to bail Himself out of dangerous situations. However, He never hesitated to use the powers to assist individuals who genuinely sought help. 

Put differently, Jesus never acted to pump up His ego. Through His many incarnations and sufferings, He learned to obey the Will of the Father in His personal affairs. This is one of the greatest keys to success hidden in plain view.

From parts of The Book of Remembrance, discussed so far,  self-aggrandizement is one of the reasons why souls got trapped in matter. The urges to act to satisfy carnal desires self and not the Divine is innate in all human beings. 

It started with the initial rebellion in spirit. Learning how to restrain and finally eliminate self-aggrandizing motives them, like The Master did, is the main reason why souls you and I continue to reincarnate in flesh.

When confronted with tough situations, before anything, silently recite: Not my will, but thine O God, be done in and through me. Believe it and allow things to pan out as He wills! This is very potent if followed with religious fidelity.

As mentioned earlier, Christ allowed the will of the Father to prevail in His personal matters.  To be a practitioner, you have to follow in His footsteps. Ease your ego aside gradually with the prayer. With time, you shall come to see how shortsighted man can be.

As a practitioner of Christ-based spiritual living, to walk the talk means trying to follow His precepts and emulate His actions in any circumstance. In addition to the recital, ask: Christ, what would Thou have me do?

Since we are students on the path, let the Akashic speak to close this discussion.

 For as has been given, He was tempted in all points like as we are, yet without error. Yet He bore in the body, the sufferings of the body; want, loneliness, forsaken; and all that play upon the emotions of the bodily functions; knowing within self the abilities of self to by the mere word, by the speaking to the influences, eradicate this entirely. (1440-2)

May the Christ Consciousness continue to guide your journey towards the Father.

WHAT IS THE AKASHIC AND HOW DEPENDABLE IS IT?

There have been assorted names for the term currently known as the Akashic over the ages. They include The Book of Life and The Book of Remembrance. 

Religions and other philosophies base their teachings about judgement at the end of time on this record. Whether there is an end of time as it is literally understood is another question. A post will  address this.

It is enough, for now, to recognize that it is a spiritual medium where all human activities are recorded. The exercise has been on since the first wave of projection of souls into material forms. 

Acquisition and correct reading of information from the Akashic have diverse layers of challenges. The first is the level of evolution of the soul of the medium and the motivation of the seeker.

Another is how far the medium is able to shut out the physical senses. When this is possible, the subconscious mind, which is permitted access to the records - with limitations - can make in road. 

Next, assuming all the challenges noted have been overcome, are the limitations inherent in human language. The earth plane is three-dimensional and our vocabulary is tailored to suit this actuality.

The spiritual realm is multidimensional. Consequently, transcription of data from a realm where time and space do not exist to one that is shaped by time-space illusion becomes tricky.  

Guides on the spiritual plane present answers to inquiries in symbols mediums can relate to. Hence, the total subjugation of the physical is very crucial.

Few individuals are capable of checking the boxes on the above challenges in one earthly incarnation. As such, access to the records does not assure correct transmission. 

Notwithstanding, the Creative Forces update, from time to time, explanation of higher laws for humans. Modifications are determined by the overall level of consciousness.

To say reliance on demonstrable facts, in the present age, is sine qua non for consideration of any thought, is to understate the obvious. Nonetheless, quantum physics makes a case for caution when it comes to reality at the subatomic level. 

What I am talking about is the wave theory and particle theory of light. It remains a puzzle to physicists how light can manifest as waves when experiments are set up accordingly; and when altered on purpose it is observed as a particles!

The more we think we understand the nature of reality the more the Creative Forces throw curve balls. The constraints in rendering symbolic data notwithstanding, God aided a retrieval operation in modern time. 

The transliteration of information gleaned from the Akashic addresses most of the skepticism associated with religious materials - oral and written. 

The intelligible doubts are supported in large part by certain scriptural pronouncements and their rendition. For instance, believers are wont to paint God as a Loving Father. 

Holy Books represent such in one generation and out of nowhere, down the road, a grumpy image stares at the reader. This is contrary to predictability - a hallmark of nature. This discrepancy in cross-referencing ought to trigger an error alert. God cannot be haphazard.

Edgar Cayce's over 14,000 readings to assist children, his initial purpose, ended up as a massive Divine revelation and corrections  of misconceptions on issues, especially cosmology. 

He had a full time secretary who recorded all the messages from the Akashic. Some sessions were witnessed by eminent Ivy League researchers. Mr. Cayce scoured the The Book of Life while in hypnotic trances. He was never able to recall any of the sessions on regaining consciousness. 

God threw an interesting curve ball here too. Cayce was a fundamentalist Christian who taught Bible studies his entire life. So, for him to reintroduce the doctrine of reincarnation - which is antithetical to the provisions of the Bible - is hilarious. He struggled with it initially. 

However, after praying and witnessing how treatments offered from the Akashic  cured cases science had written off, he started to come to terms with reincarnation and other disclosures that were diametric to his beloved Bible and Christian doctrines.

On the academic front, he stated that a mystical group, the Essenes, had female members. Prior and up to the time, research results were unanimous on only male membership. Cayce's insight was scoffed at, to put it mildly. 

Years after his death, the Dead Sea Scrolls were uncovered. Lo and behold, the information from The Book of Remembrance was right on the money. So much for absolute dependence on empirical evidence.

Cayce's work provides a clearing house to cross-authenticate claims by any source deemed to be from the Akashic. Readings given over different decades for unrelated events never contradicted themselves on spiritual laws, teachings and the dates of major events in human history. Amazing!
